Welcome to Port Logan Lodge holiday accommodation. For your own comfort and that of other guests please note the terms and conditions of your holiday let below.
All booking terms are per week (Saturday to Saturday) unless otherwise specified. Some flexibility may be available during mid/low season subject to availability.
Your accommodation will be ready for occupation from 4.00 p.m on the first day of your holiday. Please ensure you vacate the property by 10.00 a.m on your day of departure. Entry is via a key held in a keysafe mounted at the front door. We will contact you via telephone or email prior to your day of arrival to give you the current code for the keysafe.
Please note that all our holiday accommodation is non-smoking.
Booking your Holiday
For bookings made directly through our website or facebook site, please note that all bookings are provisional. Provisional bookings will be held for seven days pending payment of a non-returnabledeposit as specified in your booking. A binding contract will exist once your completed booking form and deposit are accepted by us.
The balance of payment for the holiday is due at least six weeks before commencement of your stay together with a returnable security deposit of £100. All cheques should be made payable to Mr N and Mrs C Milligan. Bookings made within eight weeks or less of your date of arrival, must be paid in full.
Please note: anyone booking through a booking agent (e.g. Airbnb or Tripadvisor) will be subject to the Terms and Conditions operated through that booking agent.
Only those people named on the booking form are entitled to stay in the accommodation and the number of guests shall not exceed the advertised capacity. To comply with the requirements of our insurers, we reserve the right to refuse occupation on arrival should the members of your party not correspond to the details given to us by you on your booking form. In these circumstances, we will return the payment you have made for your holiday less the initial deposit and security deposit you have made to cover our loss of earnings.
The hirer will not sub-let the premises or any part thereof.
In order to comply with the requirement of our insurers, we are unable to accept bookings from anyone under eighteen years of age. We do not cater for hen or stag parties.
The booking will be treated as cancelled if the balance of the holiday is not received by us by the date specified on the booking form (six weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday). Your deposit is non-refundable and any contract is rendered void.
If you wish to cancel your booking once you have paid your initial deposit, please notify us immediately. In these circumstances your initial deposit is non-returnable and any contract is rendered void.
If you cancel once you have paid the full cost of your holiday, we are unable to return any monies to you unless we are able to re-book the accommodation for the period in question. In these circumstances we may offer the accommodation at a reduced rate to encourage a late booking and any money we recover we will refund to you.
Please note: those booking through a booking agent will be subject to the refund and cancellation policy operated through that booking agent and refunds/cancellations must be actioned through the booking agent.
When you book your holiday we strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover any cancellations or losses.
Good Housekeeping Deposit
You must ensure that the property is left in a clean and tidy condition and that the property and its contents are respected at all times. If damage occurs (beyond fair wear and tear) or excessive cleaning is required, we reserve the right to recover the cost of the same from the good housekeeping (security) deposit. As we operate non-smoking properties, we reserve the right to recover the cost of a deep clean from the good housekeeping (security) deposit where it is evident that smoking within the property has occurred.
For those booking directly with us, a further £100 (returnable) deposit is required at the time of making your final payment. This deposit is to cover potential damage/breakages or additional cleaning costs that may be required if the apartment is not left in a clean and tidy condition or is found to require a deep clean due to smoking.
The £100 deposit will be returned to guests within 7 days of their stay providing the apartment is left in a clean and tidy condition.
For those booking through an agent such as Airbnb or Tripadvisor, the agent will retain your card details (similar to when you book into a hotel) until they have contacted us following your departure. If there should be any damage/additional housekeeping claim as detailed above, this will charged to your card to a maximum of £100. Please note, this will ONLY occur after your stay and if there is a claim to be made.
Electricity, heating and water are included in the cost of your holiday. The accommodation has pre-set timers on the heating, though these can be set manually if required. There is instant hot water at any time.
All bedding is provided. One bath sheet and hand towel per person and one hand towel per bathroom will be included together with bed linen and kitchen linen. You will also be provided with a kitchen and tea towel. If you are staying for more than one week, additional linen will be provided for each additional week.
Please note: Towels are not for use on the beach so do please bring your own beach towels.
Guests may bring a maximum of two small or one medium sized well-behaved dog with them. We do not take pets considered to be dangerous breeds. Details must be supplied when you book your holiday. See separate dog policy where applicable.
To comply with the requirements of our insurers, we reserve the right to refuse occupation on arrival to guests arriving with more or different dogs to those set out in the booking form. In these circumstances, we will return the payment you have made for your holiday less the initial deposit you have made to cover our loss of earnings.
A Mud Daddy and doggy towels are available to help you keep your pet clean!
Terms and Conditions of Hire
We reserve the right to enter the premises at any time during your stay to inspect should we have reason to believe the property is being mistreated.
We accept no responsibility or liability for damage or theft to or from any vehicles or boats, or theft or damage to or from any of your personal belongings left in the property or within its grounds.
We accept no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury to any member of your party that may occur whilst you are in occupation of the property.
